About Us
Inspired by the Beatles and the sound of the British Invasion Jim started taking guitar lessons at age 12. Later he discovered Joe Pass, Al Di Meola, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino among others. Jim's love of music followed him throughout college and he earned a degree in Music from Towson University with an emphasis on classical guitar.
Throughout the years he has entertained music lovers at venues such as Ze Mean Bean, Adrian's Bookstore and The Center Club. Jim and his bandmates have also played events for the Baltimore Orioles, the Museum of Industry, the Baltimore Zoo, senior centers, social clubs and countless wedding receptions. For several years Jim and his band got the festivities started by kicking off the 4th of July parade in Towson.
In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Jim Stewart was awarded honorable mention by Billboard Magazine for International songwriting.
Jim has also been a member of the orchestra for numerous local productions such as "Bonnie & Clyde", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Godspell", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and you can catch him in the upcoming "The Baker's Wife" in Annapolis at the Colonial Players Theater.
